More Omega-3 Fatty Acids Can Make You Happier

Omega-3 Fatty Acids Make You HappyA recent study has shown that people with higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) running through their veins are usually happier, less impulsive, and generally more agreeable. The study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh found this very interesting association as they deduced yet another reason to include more fish and nuts in your diet.

As you should know by now Omega-3 fatty acids are also associated with other positive effects on your body such as decreased risk of colon cancer, decreased risk of dementia & stroke, and general increases in longevity.

In a related note I recently wrote an article published over at Holiday Honey's blog which identified a vegetable that contains more Omega-3 fatty acids than any other. Purslane, a leafy green can be a fine addition to anyone's diet to reap the benefits of Omega-3s. Check out this post: A Little Known Omega-3 Source: Purslane and feel free to browse the health and fitness archives over at Holiday Honey.
