Extreme Old AgeThe human life span is finite, that much is for sure, but it has been growing over the years as advances in medicine, science, and general understanding of the body has evolved. In 1900 the average life expectancy of the average American was in the mid-40’s and today it is in the upper 70’s. Some countries even have average expectancies in the lower 80’s and if those are mere averages then we can bet that many more live to much greater years.
In fact nearly half live longer and we can assume that those that do live that long were doing things right. They weren’t doing the things that lead to early decay of the body or mind and they were smart about how they lived their lives. In my opinion this means that simply doing these things purposefully should greatly increase our life expectancies barring any unforeseen accidents that might be coming our way.
