Additionally, this finding in longevity odds seems to correlate directly with the finding that binge drinking increases your chance of stroke. Maybe those who drink a lot and die before 85 die more frequently due to stroke or stroke related complications and those who limit their drinking end up lasting longer because they are less likely to have a stroke.
